Optimization of RADAR Waveforms - WARP

MTRI's engineers technical goal is to design waveforms for a semi-cooperative, distributed RADAR system.

Conditional joint optimization: Waveform design of adaptable RADAR, conditioned on the existence of non-cooperative RADARs.

Constrained joint optimization: Special case of conditional joint optimization where a cooperative network’s waveforms are designed subject to real-world limitations.

Conditional Waveform Optimization Approach

Use Gram-Schmidt orthonormalization to define the spectral support of the conditional subspace

  • Incorporate this subspace into the interference term for the constrained waveform optimization approach
